John Hunter Hospital
The John Hunter Hospital is the nearest major referral hospital. It is a distance of 145km's via road and the travel time is approximately 2 hours by road and 45 minutes by air.

- X-ray facilities are available, however, if high technology imaging such as CAT scans, patients are referred to Newcastle.

Westpac Rescue Helicopter
Muswellbrook Shire also has access to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, ensuring that emergency cases can be taken to Newcastle or Sydney when required.
