Goal

Assisting art organisations with the management of grants, capacity building initiatives, strategic planning, risk management, business planning, marketing and management.

Australian Visual Artists’ Benevolent Fund

Australian Visual Artists’ Benevolent Fund, National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA)

Goal

To provide some limited financial assistance to any visual arts practitioner faced with a disaster situation as a result of illness, accident or catastrophe.

The applicant must be involved as a practitioner in the visual arts with commonwealth or Australian residency.

Caxton Commemoration Fund (Journalists Fund)

Goal

To assist in relieving distress experienced by bona fide journalists, pressmen or persons engaged in literary pursuit.

The Australia Council

Goal

To support community arts and cultural development through the community partnerships section through professional development, creative production and program development.

Creative Communities Partnership Initiative

Arts Council of Australia

Goal

Supports major community arts and cultural development projects of excellence.

Grant

Between $50,000 and $600,000 .

Conditions

Development Assistance – Film and Television

NSW Film and Television Office (FTO)

Goal

To assist projects to reach the stage where they are ready to attract production finance.

Grant

$1,000,000

Conditions

Does not fund Infotainment/Lifestyle/Travel/Magazine/Sports/Education/Game Shows, Current affairs/news programs, Community television programs, Short or experimental films (unless part of an FTO initiative such as the Young Filmmakers Fund), Short features of less than 60 minutes duration (unless part of an FTO initiative).

Live on Stage - Music International Showcase Program

The Australia Council

Goal

To showcase original Australian music at key international music trade fairs and international festivals. The LIVE ON STAGE program provides travel support for professional musicians and their manager/representative.

Prop Ups – Quick Response Grants

Regional Arts NSW

Goal

Providing funding through the Quick Response Grants Program to support innovative performing arts programming in regional communities of NSW to encourage new performance initiatives and audience development. High priority is given to projects that involve youth, indigenous and disability groups.

Conditions

Incorporated, not for profit organisation and local government authority can apply, unincorporated associations auspiced by an incorporated body, tertiary institutions for community based projects, P&C committees for community projects involving school students.

Dept of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts

Goal

Indirect tax deduction for donors to make contribution to cultural groups.
To assist qualifying cultural bodies to attract support by enabling them to offer donors the incentive of a tax deduction.

Conditions

Public art galleries, museums and libraries are not included on the Register as they are approved by the Australian Taxation Office under another Deductible Gift Recipient category.

Travel Grant Program

Goal

To enable film, television and interactive media practitioners and producers to attend International festivals and markets.

The JB Seed Grant – JUMP Grant

Source

The JB Seed

Goal

Supports arts based programs including indigenous recording, professional and skills development, social activism through arts and Management workshops.

Grant

Up $4,000, only 10 opportunities exist, with at least 3 opportunities to indigenous musicians.

Conditions

Projects should be undertaken outside or in prominent Indoor public spaces. The project should be a social commentary, communication and inspiration between the artist and the public. The art must be made available at no cost to the observer.
