Besen Family Foundation Grants

Besen Family Foundation

Goal

To support public institutions, families, local communities and people who are disadvantaged.

Grant

Up to $10,000 per grant

Conditions

Grants will take the form of local projects grants, awards, scholarships, research grants, and capital appeals. Applicants should be a charitable organisation with Deductible Gift Recipient Status.

Commemorations Grants

Department of Veterans’ Affairs

Goal

Preserving our heritage from war and conflict and encouraging community participation in Commemorative Events

Grant

Up to $4,000

Conditions

Organisations and communities are expected to contribute towards the project, financially by providing in-kind support.
Ongoing or previous expenditure is excluded.

Employee Volunteer Grant Program

National Australia Bank (NAB)

Goal

To help community or non-profit organisations that work with NAB employees as part of the bank's Employee Volunteer Program.

Conditions

NAB provides two days paid volunteer leave each year for its employees. Our people use this leave to carry out voluntary work for non-profit organisations in their communities.

Gandel Charitable Trust

Google Grants

Goal

To provide free advertising for non-profit institutions or funds that have either been endorsed as charitable institutions. Each organisation that wants to participate receives at least three months free advertising.

Organisations need to have a website to advertise with Google Grants.

Harold Mitchell Foundation

Goal

To sponsor vital projects or activities in the Arts and Health which would not otherwise happen.

The foundation does not accept application from the following parties, not for profit bodies and commercial entities, political parties, private schools and sports clubs. Commercial/business activities, retrospective funding and loans are not considered.

Holden Community Support

Holden Foundation

Goal

Supporting a range of community based programs in Australia that might take the form of cash or in-kind donations. One off larger objects are available for programs that assist education and technological innovation.
Holden currently supports environment, community safety, technology, plants and facilities.

Legs Up Skills Development Grants

Museums and Galleries NSW

Goal

To provide quick response grants to volunteers in volunteer managed museums and keeping places that require financial assistance to attend some form of skills development activity or to bring that activity to their museum.

Grant

$500 max.

Conditions

Require matched dollar to dollar funding by the applying museum/keeping place. Applicants must contact M&G NSW to discuss. Priority is given to collaborative ventures between museums. Projects must be new. Applicants must be incorporated, not for profit organisations belonging to an established museum network with no more than two full time employees.

Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation

Goal

To support projects in the Hunter, Central Coast and Mid North Coast Regions of NSW. Successful funding is usually unique or innovative projects that can not seek funding from an alternative source.

To assist the community and individuals in times of need.

Road Safety Sponsorship

Source

Motor Accidents Authority (MAA) (NSW)

Goal

Supporting events or activities that provide opportunities to raise the profile of road safety particularly in MAA road safety priority areas.

Grant

Three funding opportunities exist, funding below $5,000, below $20,000 and above $20,000.

Conditions

Applicants must be not-for profit with projects that support the core business of the MAA.

Satellite Reception Equipment Grants

Community Broadcasting Foundation Ltd

Goal

Assisting with the purchase of satellite reception equipment that enables Community Radio Network and National Indigenous Radio Service and RPH Australia Service.

Grant

$1,500 for satellite dish and or a loan towards satellite reception equipment, receiver/decoder, balancing amplifier and smartcard.

Conditions

The station must use the satellite equipment to access community radio content.

Small Communities Awareness Fund

Goal

To assist small communities in rural and remote NSW to supplement or establish an internet website promoting their town and tourism attractions.

Grant

Up to $5,000.00

Conditions

Applications should come from small community incorporated groups of less than 10,000 people.

Veteran and Community Grants

Department of Veterans’ Affairs

Goal

Maintaining and improving the independence and quality of life of members of the veteran community by providing financial assistance for activities, services and projects that sustain and enhance well being, particularly those that encourage community development, reduce social isolation, encourage and support safe local communities and address gaps in local services.

Between $2,000 and $50,000

Conditions

Applications from individuals are not considered. Funding must not be available from other Government sources.

Woolworths in the Community Program

Woolworths

Goal

To provide one-off donations of a Woolworths WISH card that will be provided to local community groups where the focus is cause-related and not-for-profit.
