The below list is of grants available all year round for health and wellbeing.

AM White Grants for Convalescence

Trust Philanthropy Team

Goal

To provide funds for underprivileged people to reside in facilities necessary for convalescence after their discharge from hospital.

Applicants must be of protestant denomination, have a signed medical certificate, and be a member of one of the Foundations Target Groups.

AXA Australia

Source

AXA Australia

Goal

Supports seriously ill or disadvantaged children, homelessness and poverty.

Conditions

The following exclusions apply: Areas considered to be the direct responsibility of government; general fundraising projects or appeals; travel, study or conferences; individuals; general objectives of other foundations, trusts and philanthropic organisations; intermediate fundraising agencies; mainstream school based educational work; funding deficits, political activities; religious bodies for religious purpose; laboratory based basic research; private schools or formal education; retrospective costs. Organisations based outside Australia or New Zealand.

Honda Foundation Grants

Honda Foundation

Goal

To support organisations who focus their activities on the disadvantaged, disabled or those suffering from long term or threatening illnesses. You must be an incorporated charitable organisation with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Status to apply for this grant.

Inger Rice Foundation

Inger Rice Foundation

Goal

Foster activities and programs concerned with parent/child relationships in Australia. (Children up to and including age five years).

Grant

Various, considered every 6 to 8 weeks.

Conditions

Excludes: capital works, core operating costs, vehicles, general fundraising appeals, individuals, political organisations. No formal application - prefer a brief free-flowing application. Seven copies of an application are to be included. Phone enquiries only (02) 6295 7339.

M White Grants for Convalescence

Bobby Goldsmith Foundation

Goal

To address the needs of people living with HIV/AIDS by promoting independence and participation. Special emphasis on providing educational assistance to low income earners that meet the criteria.

Law and Justice Foundation of NSW

Goal

Supports projects that improve access to justice, particularly for socially and economically disadvantaged people.

Grant

Up to $5,000

Conditions

Preference is given to applications from community groups that have formed a partnership with an incorporated organisation.

The McGrath Foundation Grants

Source

The McGrath Foundation

Goal

Providing funding for specialist breast care nurses primarily in rural and regional areas of Australia.

Conditions

There must be no current funding or access to a full time breast care nurse. If successful, the funding is available for 3 years. Individuals or not for profit organisations.

The “Walter and Eliza Hall” Trust

The Walter and Eliza Hall Trust

Goal

To provide financial assistance for almost any purpose considered necessary for the applicant's health and wellbeing, but the Trust is positioned as a provider of last resort.
