Goal
To assist affiliated Australian Tennis Clubs, Centres and Associations to upgrade, replace or improve their tennis facilities, by providing low interest loans.
Grant
Max. $80,000
Conditions
A club, centre or Association will often embark on a project utilising grant monies from local government and/or state government, as well as their own funds. The tennis Australia loan assists in shortfalls the club may have in funding their project after other avenues have been determined. All work should be carried out by an accredited Ports Contractors Association of Australia member. The loan repayment is determined by the amount and must be repaid over 8 years.

Department of Health and Aging
Goal
Funding to help cover the cost of attending significant or specialist sporting events.
Grant
$500 per individual and $3,000 per team.
Conditions
Covers costs such as travel, equipment, uniforms and accommodation. Only $12,500 will be available to each voting electorate. Applications can be made via the Australian Sports Commission or the Federal Member for the electorate. Available to individuals and teams aged 12-18 years.

Tennis Australia
Goal
To assist Tennis Australia’s member affiliates in the development and/or the upgrading of court surfaces and associated infrastructure, including lighting, surface or resurfacing, fencing, water saving and ancillary items.

Various from a total pool of $2,000,000
Conditions
All court construction works must be completed after 1 January 2008 and a current documented business plan must be provided demonstrating future benefits of court and associated works for tennis. Various other conditions apply, see website.

NSW Deptartment of Tourism, Sport and Recreation
Goal
To assist eligible state sporting organisations and peak industry bodies to develop their sport and recreation activities at all levels in New South Wales.

Conditions
The program aims to assist these bodies to develop their own self sufficiency and achieve performance outcomes detailed in their business plans. The program provides a flexible system of support, which responds to the priorities of organisations and is consistent with government policies and priorities.
Key features of the SDP include:
• Six funding categories for State sporting organisations and five funding categories for peak industry bodies
• Funding support based on category ranking
• Three year funding agreements available
• Project funding available to category 6 sports and a project based component available to category 5 sports.
To be eligible for assistance under the SDP, organisations must be a constituted incorporated and not for profit organisation, affiliated with a national sporting organisation.

To assist disadvantaged young people by conducting programs and developing model projects which can be duplicated by other agencies working with young people.

Conditions
Athletic and swimming scholarships are available for young people 10-15 who have the potential to be elite athletes but whose families have difficulty meeting financial expenses.
