To ensure funds are provided to appropriate charitable institutions, create opportunities for young people to reach their potential, where such potential is hampered due to disadvantage or inequity.

Tax Concession Charity (TCC) status required, Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Status Required. Funding excludes Capital Works, Salaries, Vehicles, General Fundraising Appeals, Building Works, Deficit Funding, Religious Organisations, Political Organisations.

To assist with projects related to the future sustainability of young Australians.

Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Status Required. Excludes, Capital Works, Vehicles, General Fundraising Appeals, Building Works, Individuals, Religious Organisations, Political Organisations, Conferences.
In addition to the above, The Caledonia Foundation will not consider providing funds to organisations outside of Australia, hospital appeals, charity dinners, charity auctions, workshops or seminars, social activities, pilot programs, individual schools, or to other foundations.

Matana Foundation for Young People
Goal
Providing funding for organisations that share the Foundations’ vision to assist disadvantaged young people to benefit from and contribute to personal well being and confidence.
Grant
Minimum funding $1,000 max $10,000
Conditions
Priority will be given to peak bodies, self help groups, neighbourhood projects and direct service provision. Application is tendered in two stages, preliminary enquiry and invitation to submit a detailed application. Individuals, state and federal government bodies can not apply. Capital and building expenditure is excluded. Applicants must have Income Tax Exempt Charity Status and have deductible gift recipient status.

To strengthen systems, services and communities to address poverty and disadvantage.

Conditions
Funding is directed towards the priority groups of indigenous, child and family poverty. The Myer Foundation and the Sidney Myer Fund will accept applications for grants for charitable purposes from Australian incorporated organisations that have been endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)as Tax Concession Charities (TCC). If your organisation is not endorsed as a TCC, but you are an Australian incorporated organisation, you may still be eligible to apply as long as we can be satisfied that the nature of your project is charitable.
Small Grants Program (under $5,000)

To provide funding for a range of social justice and community initiatives that support the disadvantaged, particularly women and children.

Avg: $2,500 – Max. $5,000
Conditions
Priority is generally given to small organisations and those groups that receive no other funding. If the organisation is a community group without incorporated status, they can seek auspicing from another organisation.
