Inspection of caravan parks in Muswellbrook Shire
Muswellbrook Shire Council carries out regulation inspections on caravan parks to ensure operators comply with the requirements of the Local Government (Manufactured Home Estates, Caravan Parks, Camping Grounds and Moveable Dwellings) Regulation 2005.
Matters which are investigated include fire precautions, state of repair and the adequacy of communal facilities such as toilets and laundries.

Inspection fees and charges
Annual renewal of approvals, as per Council's adopted fees and charges for 2011-2012 financial year.
- Minimum fee (for up to 20 sites) ...$150.00
- Re-inspection fee (for compliance)...$100.00
Where presmises have any combination of annual fees for food premises, caravan park and/or trade waste a $50 discount will apply to the combined fee.
