Cooling towers and warm water systems
Muswellbrook Shire Council carries out inspections of cooling towers and warm water systems for compliance to the NSW Public Health Act 1991.
Matters which are investigated include:
- maintenance/procedures records
- state of repairs
- construction design and
- cleanliness of the systems
These investigations are conducted so as to minimise the potential hazards/risks of the bacteria known as Legionella.
