Food premises

Muswellbrook Shire Council carries out inspections of retail food premises for compliance to the Food Act 2003. This also includes temporary venues such as stalls at fairs and agricultural shows.

Inspection fees are charges for the annual renewal of approvals as per Council's adopted fees and charges for 2011-2012 financial year:

Shows and events

Show and event inspection fee (flat fee for event administrators) ...$300

Health inspections

Per premises, for 2011-2012 financial year.

Administration fee for food premises (annual) maintaining register and reporting to government agencies and inspections...$150.00
Reinspection fees (for compliance)...$100.00

 

Where premises have any combination of annual fees for food premises, caravan park and/or trade waste a $50 discount will apply to the combined fee.
