Payment methods

Pay at any bank

Payment of amount due may be made at any bank.

Westpac will not charge a transfer fee, other banks may. You do not need to hold an account with the bank at which you make your payment.

The Bank will stamp "Ratepayer's Copy" and return it to you as a receipt.

Bpay

Contact your participating bank, credit union or building society to make this payment from your cheque or savings account.

Mail

Make cheque payable to 'Muswellbrook Shire Council' and crossed 'Not Negotiable'.

In person

Cash, cheque, EFTPOS and credit card payments are accepted. Payments by credit card will attract an additional 0.75% merchant fee.

Direct debit

Have your payment deducted from your bank account weekly, fortnightly or quarterly, or have payments deducted from your Centrelink benefits.

To arrange for a direct debit download the Direct Debit request form below. Alternatively call the Property Officer
on 6549 3716 during business hours.

Late payments

If your account is not paid by the due date, interest charges will begin to accrue daily at a rate of 9% per annum.
