Using your three bins
- Red lid
- Yellow lid
- Green lid
Red lid - household garbage
For waste material which cannot be recycled.
- This bin is collected weekly.
- DO NOT overfill bins — the lid must close fully.
- Bins should be out at the kerbside the night before collection, bins are collected between 6am and 6pm.
- Choose recycled goods when shopping (pdf - 102kb).
- Avoid buying over packaged products.

Yellow lid - recyclables
This bin is collected fortnightly.
- Remove all caps and lids from jars and bottle
- Wash and squash containers and cans
- NO plastic bags, cling film, ceramics
- NO sharp, hazardous or rotting waste

Green lid - garden organics
This bin is collected fortnightly.
- No plastic bags
- No hot ashes
- Food waste cannot be collected with your garden organics bin, but it is great for home composting & worm farms.
