Water loss management
The Water Loss Management Program (WLMP) is a $22M joint initiative of the Local Government and Shires Associations (LGSA) of NSW, and the Water Directorate, with partial funding from the Australian Government through the Water Smart Australia programme.
The project supports NSW Local Water Utilities' efforts to reduce leakage from their drinking water distribution systems by providing specialist knowledge and equipment to help councils identify, develop and implement water saving projects.
Council is taking part in this initiative and will be looking at losses and water saving projects in the water supply systems within the Muswellbrook Shire, including Denman, Muswellbrook and Sandy Hollow. The WLMP is currently supporting 66 councils within New South Wales.
Further information on the WLMP can be found on the Water Loss Management Program website.![]()
