Muswellbrook Council Pesticide Application Program
Muswellbrook Shire Council undertakes regular pesticide application programs throughout the year ranging from non selective vegetation control to selective targeted programs for specific pests.
Council conducts weekly applications of pesticides at Denman Golf Course throughout the year. Signage is erected at the course detailing the pesticides used and their purpose, the latest date of application and contact details of the officer in charge of the program. The chemicals used include Bannermaxx (fungicide for control of Dollarspot), Kamba M (selective herbicide for broadleaf and bindii), Roundup (non selective herbicide for vegetation control), Weedkiller Plus (selective herbicide for broadleaf and bindii), Passtox Flowable (selective herbicide for paspalum, mullumbimbi couch), Scurol DG (fungicide for dollar spot and brown patch).
Council also conducts regular applications of non selective herbicide throughout the year. The work is carried out on roadsides, parks and gardens, medians and footpaths on an as needs basis and the chemical applied is Roundup (non selective herbicide for vegetation control). No signage is erected for these works other than typical worksite signage, however further information can be obtained by contacting Council.
