Honour roll

The Denman Women’s Bowling Club Grade 3 Pennant Team is being recognised for their achievements in the field of Lawn Bowls which includes:

• Winning Grade 3 District Pennant.
• Winning Zone Pennant.
• Placing 5th in State at Dubbo in State Playoffs.

The Muswellbrook Public School Open Rugby League Team is being recognised for their achievements in the field of Football which include:

• Winning the NSW PSSA Classic Shield Knock-out State Championship.
• Being the first Muswellbrook team to win the State Title since 1950s.
• Being the Upper Hunter Winners.
• Being the Northern Region Winners.
• Scoring 264 points throughout the competition and conceding 30.

The Muswellbrook Public School Open Boys Touch Football Team is being recognised for their achievements in the field of touch football which includes:

• Being the Open Boys PSSA State Football Touch champions.
• Being the 2009 Hunter Region champions.
• Winning the quarter final defeating Dubbo.
• Winning the state semi finals defeating Terrinora.
• Winning the state finals defeating Mount Druitt.

The Under 13’s Muswellbrook Eagles are being recognised for their achievements in the field of Soccer which includes:

• Being undefeated for the whole Soccer Season.
• Being the Minor and Major Premiers of U12’s at the end of last season.
• Being the Minor and Major Premiers of the U13’s.
• Being the only team to be successful at this level for the Muswellbrook Soccer Club.
• Being committed to training sessions and extra training sessions.
• Scoring 79 goals total for the season and only having 8 goals scored against them.

The Zone 7 Team of Four Riders is being nominated for their achievements in the field of Pony Club which includes:

• Representing at the Sydney Royal Easter Show;

Placing 1st at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, being awarded the DJ Whitford Trophy

Muswellbrook U16’s Boys Touch Football Team is being nominated for their achievements in the field of touch football which includes:

• Winning the NSW Junior State Cup in their division and becoming State Champions.

The Martindale Relay Team is being nominated for their achievements in the field of Athletics 4 X 100m Relay which includes: 

• Achieving First Place at the Small Schools Sports Carnival Pittman Cup;
• Achieving First Place at the Upper Hunter Zone Athletics Carnival;
• Achieving First Place at the Newcastle Regional Athletics Carnival;
• Achieving First Place at the NSW State Athletics Carnival;
• All four students represented Martindale Public School with sportsmanship at all times.

Denman Bowling Club No 3 Pennant are being nominated for their achievements in the field of lawn bowls including: 

• Winners of Upper Hunter District No 3 Pennant for the thirteenth time in fifteen years of competition
• Winners of Zone 6 Title for the third time
• Contested State Title but beaten on count back
