Muswellbrook boasts three shopping centres; Campbell's Corner, off Bridge Street; Muswellbrook Marketplace, located along Sowerby Street in the north; and the new Muswellbrook Fair along Rutherford Road in the south of Muswellbrook.

Many big names such as Harvey Norman and Big W are also handy. All of the big banks and local building societies and credit unions can also be found in Muswellbrook.
