Climate

Our shire enjoys a very comfortable climate with winters that range from -3 to 22 degrees Celsius. Moderate winter days are normally pleasantly crisp and nights are cold. Summers range from 12 to 38 degrees Celsius Evenings are generally pleasant as a result of cooling southerly breezes springing up in late afternoon. Autumn and spring can only be described as glorious; we do suffer from windy conditions in mid to late August. Rain falls on a regular basis but we do have wet periods in early spring and late summer. Our rainfall is in the order of 600mm to 700mm per annum.
