BASIX Information
What is BASIX? BASIX is an on-line assessment tool that works by using design data such as location, size, construction material, water source and fittings, to determine the potential energy and water consumption of a new home or unit.
A BASIX Certificate is also required for alterations and additions work on existing dwellings where the estimated construction cost of the work is more than $50,000 and where development approval is required and development applications for a swimming pool of 40,000 litres capacity or more
