The question on everyone’s lips is answered with the Denman Wine, Food and Film Affair set to make its return in 2025.
The breakout tourism, hospitality and arts festival that brought 11,000 visitors to Denman returns November 1, 2025 in a partnership between Muswellbrook Shire Council and the Denman Chamber of Commerce.
In a full Saturday of celebrations, Affair-goers will be licking their lips with more than 50 food and beverage vendors, indulging in local wines and craft brews and a lineup of live entertainment across three stages.
This year, the Denman Wine, Food & Film Affair will immediately follow the Blue Heeler Film Festival’s red carpet awards night on October 31, also in Denman.
Free, continuous short film screenings from the Film Festival will take place at Denman Memorial Hall.
The combinations means revellers will savour the Hunter’s finest wine, freshest food and most authentic live experience in an event that is suitable for all ages.
Denman Chamber of Commerce President Amanda Collins said the returning Wine, Food & Film Affair will showcase the best of the scenic town and the Upper Hunter region.
“Denman Wine, Food & Film Affair is a generous sample of what makes our town and our Shire so special as a destination and a community,” Ms Collins said.
“From the incredible food and wine to the richness of the Blue Heeler Film Festival it’s a golden opportunity to share what we already know – Denman is the Hunter’s best-kept secret. It’s a calendar highlight for visitors and locals, and an investment in our local economy and our wonderful community.”
Muswellbrook Council’s Tourism and Events Coordinator Stephen Wright said the festival’s return and evolution are the result of hard work by Muswellbrook Shire Council and the Denman Chamber of Commerce.
“The partnership with Denman Chamber of Commerce has proven a massive success, and we’re thrilled to see the Wine, Food and Film Affair back in 2025,” Mr Wright said.
“Having the Blue Heeler Film Festival alongside the Wine & Food Affair makes for a truly unique Denman experience with the best of the arts, country hospitality, local food and wine.”
Muswellbrook Shire Mayor Jeff Drayton congratulated the partnership between Council and the Business Chamber for returning and growing the Denman Wine, Food & Film Affair.
“For Denman and Muswellbrook Shire as a whole it’s an outstanding economic and tourism opportunity, drawing visitors from across the Hunter, NSW and beyond,” Mayor Drayton said.
“This festival not only supports local business but encourages people to come back to the region and stay longer. It’s about what our Shire has to offer for visitors to enjoy and for locals to be proud of.”
