At the Ordinary Meeting of Council held at Muswellbrook on 24 June 2025, Council endorsed the Draft Future Fund Policy and current Schedule, for 28 days of public exhibition via Council’s website, from 15 July 2025 to 12 August 2025.
The Draft Future Fund Policy aims to achieve the efficient, effective, and responsible use of its present revenues to generate a permanent dividend and to ensure Council is in a position to:

- support local industry and facility new and emerging services and industries; and
- improve the Shire’s liveability and amenity.
Following the exhibition period, the draft policy will be considered for adoption by Council along with any submissions received during the exhibition period.
