Muswellbrook will be front and centre when six junior players from the Eagles Football Club lead out players as flag bearers for the England vs Denmark clash at the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup in Sydney.
The six players selected to represent Muswellbrook at Sydney Football Stadium on July 28 are under 13’s players Indiana Heusler, Elijah Bristow, Rory Flanagan and Caleb Bristow, and Cooper Boyle and Diego Borg from the under 15’s team.
Mayor Steve Reynolds said that in a massive year for women’s football, with Australia co-hosting the Women’s World Cup, it is a great outcome for the Eagles Football Club.

The Eagles Football Club is one of 32 in NSW to achieve accreditation in the 1 Star Game Changer Club Development Program which shows a commitment and dedication to the development of women’s and girls football, which allowed them to apply for the honour of bearing the FIFA campaign flag and be part of Australian women’s football history.
