Join the fun on Launch Day on Saturday 12 October 2024 from 10am to 1:30pm at the Hunter Innovation Precinct!
Muswellbrook Shire Libraries and the STEM Innovation Lab, located in the Donald Horne Building, are joining forces to launch a new collection of Curiosity Kits – hands-on kits designed to spark imaginations and bring fun to science through experimentation and exploration.
The launch will also feature an author talk with Lee Constable, a popular science and sustainability presenter, “edutainer” and author of How to save the whole blinkin’ planet – a renewable energy adventure that imagines a brighter future for the planet.
The kits include:
- Ozobot Bit+ | a tiny but smart robot that engages youngsters in STEM, coding and computer science through a collection of game-based activities, digital apps and coding challenges
- Blue-Bots | an appealing floor robot ideal for teaching control and coding in for primary schools aged children
- Snap Circuits | an easy and fun way to learn about electronics from simple circuits to complex models
- Edison Robots | small educational robots for coding and games-based challenges ideal for secondary school aged children
- Backyard Explorer Kit | including a range of tools and utensils, including a pocket-sized microscope, for exploring the micro and macro worlds hidden in our back yards
