Half day holiday confirmed!

To celebrate the Muswellbrook Cup, Friday 5 April 2024 has been declared a half-day public holiday from 12 noon for the towns and villages within Muswellbrook Shire.

The Public Holiday arrangements for the race day are only possible with the proven support of the community. In September 2023, Council sought community views on the proposed public holiday for 2024 via a survey with most surveys completed supporting the Muswellbrook Cup half-day public holiday.

All Council offices, including waste management facilities, will be closed from 12 midday on Friday 5 April 2024.
