Celebrate with us at Muswellbrook Library
Join us for a special morning at Muswellbrook Library as we celebrate National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day – a time to recognise and honour the strength, culture and future of First Nations children in our community.
This free event will feature sensory and creative activities for children and families, including:
- Story time
- Playdough exploration using natural resources
- Indigenous colour hand streamers
- Painting
- Making clapping sticks
Everyone is welcome, and all materials will be provided. Whether you’re a parent, carer, educator or community member, this is a chance to come together and celebrate the next generation – proud, strong, and connected.
About the Day
National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day is held every year on 4 August. Led by SNAICC – National Voice for our Children, it’s a day for all Australians to show their support and learn more about the importance of culture, family and community in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
