October is Mental Health Month, with October 10 designated as a United Nations (UN)-observed World Mental Health Day. It’s a time to raise awareness and provide an opportunity for all of those working in mental health to discuss their work and identify opportunities to make mental health care a reality for all people.
For individuals, Mental Health Month encourages us to reflect on our own mental health and wellbeing. To understand the importance of good mental health in our daily lives and to seek help when needed.
What Steps Will You Take?
There will be times when we feel stuck, overwhelmed or unmotivated, and that’s okay. In those moments, even a small step like reaching out to someone or pausing for a moment can help get us back on track. These small actions allow us to keep moving forward, even when it doesn’t feel like we’re making much progress.
This World Mental Health Day, let’s continue to look after our wellbeing and support one another along the way.
