Muswellbrook Shire Council’s Awarding of Sponsorship Policy and Awarding of Grants and Contributions Policy outline the requirements and criteria for providing sponsorships, grants, and contributions to not-for-profit community groups, organisations, individuals and sporting groups who are interested in working towards enhancing the social, cultural, and recreational wellbeing of the communities of Muswellbrook Shire.

We are committed to providing equitable, open, and transparent sponsorships, grants, and contributions and to supporting engagement and potential economic, social and cultural benefits to the whole community.

Each sponsorship or grant program has specific guidelines that outline the criteria, eligibility and process for applying for the sponsorship, grant or contribution.

Sponsorship

If you have a great initiative for an event or program that would benefit Muswellbrook Shire Council, you can apply for sponsorship through Council’s Sponsorship Program.

Sponsorship applications can be for projects, event funding, fee waiving or in-kind support.

Before you start your application, there are a few things you should consider:

  • You are applying for sponsorship, which is different to grant funding.
  • Your application should add value to an event or program that is already happening, regardless of the outcome of the sponsorship application.
  • Council should receive value other than just recognition for the sponsorship and help us achieve our goals in the Community Strategic Plan.
  • Sponsorship applicants for events must comply with Council’s Sustainable Event Management Procedure.

There will be two funding rounds each year and the number and value of sponsorships given in any funding period is subject to the total annual funding pool.

Applications for sponsorship can be made to council@muswellbrook.nsw.gov.au.
