Where does our money come from and how is it spent?

Overall, the total comprehensive income for 2021 for the consolidated statements shows a surplus of $22.8m ($55.4m in 2020).

2021 shows a $32.5m decrease in comprehensive income compared to last year. 2020 showed a $37.8m favourable revaluation outcome for infrastucture including roads, bridges and stormwater drainage, which was not present in 2021. Other changes in the 2021 period from 2020 include:

  • $9.7m increase in capital and operating grants
  • $1.4m decrease in other revenues
  • $1.8m increase in overall expenditure
