Free entry for one week.
Yes – that’s right. The doors to the indoor pool hall at the Muswellbrook Aquatic Centre open at 6am tomorrow – Friday 19 August – and there will be free entry for all residents for the first week.
Mayor Steve Reynolds said today that he knows there has been a lot of frustration around the delay in the opening of the upgraded section of the centre and that he appreciates everyone’s patience.
“This had been a really challenging project, but I am excited to say that we are finally across the line and that the doors will open tomorrow morning at 6am – with free entry for all for one week and, I’m pleased to announce, free entry for two weeks of the September school holidays.
Mayor Steve Reynolds“Council hopes that this will compensate in some way for the project delays and give everyone the opportunity to experience this fantastic facility,” he said.
The 25m heated pool, Splash play area and heated therapy pool will be open:
- Monday to Friday – 6am – 7pm
- Saturday – 9am – 4pm
- Sunday 10am – 4pm
The Fitness Centre will operate as usual, and the 50m outdoor pool is now closed for the winter season.
For those residents who have already hopped on board and taken advantage of the special opening membership offers and have joined the Aquatic Centre – memberships will be suspended for the free entry periods so all can benefit from the free entry period.
An Official Opening and Community Open Day will be held on Saturday September 17. Free entry for the school holiday period is from Monday, September 26 to Sunday October 9.
