The NSW Electoral Commission have declared the results for the Muswellbrook Shire Council Local Government Area following the Local Government elections held on 14 September 2024. The successful candidates were declared on Tuesday, 1 October.
Councillors, in order of election are as follows:

- Mahajan Rohit
- Louise Dunn
- Rod Scholes
- Clare Bailey
- Darryl Marshall
- Amanda Barry
- Graeme Mc Neill
- Stephen Ward
- David Hartley
Councillors will be officially sworn in to their roles at a Civic Ceremony at the Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre at 6pm on Friday 11 October 2024. An Extraordinary Meeting will be held during the Civic Ceremony where the election of a Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be conducted.
Councillors are required to make the Oath or Affirmation of Office at or before the first meeting of Council in accordance with Section 233A of the Local Government Act 1993.
An Extraordinary Meeting will be held on Tuesday 22 October 2024 where Council will set the meeting schedule and consider, under Section 291A, if they wish to use the countback method to fill any Councillor vacancies should they occur in the first 18 months of Council.
