With new pavement marking undertaken by Council in Brook Street Muswellbrook last week, it is timely to revisit parking regulations and remind residents of the parking restrictions in this busy part of town.

The designated bus zone adjacent to Brook Medical Centre will be defined pavement marking to highlight this zone, and Council would like to remind motorists that in areas signposted as Bus Zone you cannot stop within the direction of the arrow or arrows on the sign unless you are driving a public bus. Some Bus Zones have times shown and vehicles can stop or park outside these times.

Council advises that there is a designated “No Parking” zone adjacent to the Brook Medical Centre, just before the bus zone, where cars can pull in to “drop off”.  In accordance with NSW road rules and regulations it is permitted to stop within a No Parking area for less than two minutes and therefore, drivers are encouraged to use the zone for this purpose.
