About the Project

Works to upgrade the road and drainage on Bylong Valley Way at CH 5.9Km from Sandy Hollow has commenced. This work will improve the road pavement and drainage over a short section of the road (approximately 400m).

The existing drainage at the location was considered to be inadequate.  The widening of the road pavement will improve safety by providing a sealed road shoulder.

These works are being undertaken as part of the Transport for NSW Regional Roads REPAIR Program, which provides funding for regional roads on a 50:50 basis.

Council has engaged Contractors Hunter Valley Civil (HWC) to carry out the work. Proposed date of completion is 30 June 2023, weather permitting.
