About Muswellbrook Shire Council
Muswellbrook Shire Council provides a wide range of services including administration, environmental health and public safety, community amenities, recreation and culture, roads, debt servicing, water supply, sewerage, parks, sports fields, libraries, arts centres and aquatic centres.
Council is committed to the Shire’s administration for the benefit of the whole community. We have a vision for the future and encourage the community to actively engage in how that vision is shaped and delivered.
Community consultations are held for the development of the Community Strategic Plan, which identifies the community’s main priorities and goals over 10 years. This document informs a new Delivery Program every four years, the elected Council’s term of office.
From the Delivery Program an Operational Plan is developed yearly and directly addresses the actions, programs and activities Council will undertake for that financial year. Accomplishments and financials are reported in the Annual Report.
