About the Project
Council has engaged contractors Waeger Constructions to undertake works to replace Rosebrook Bridge on Wybong Road that will improve carrying capacity for all vehicle types.
Construction is programmed to commence in March 2023 and work will necessitate the closure of Wybong Road at the bridge location.
Further notifications regarding the road closure will be issued once the date has been confirmed by the contractor. Works to construct the bridge are expected to take approximately 6 months.

Wybong Road Closure
Wybong Road will be closed at Rosebrook Bridge from 20 March 2023 until approximately August 2023 to enable the safe and efficient construction of a new bridge.
The closure is at the Rosebrook Bridge location only. Alternative access to Logues Lane and the west will be via Bengalla Link Road. Access to Wybong Road east of the Rosebrook Bridge will be via Kayuga Road.

Project Update 18/04/2023
Works to replace Rosebrook Bridge on Wybong Road have commenced and Wybong Road is now closed at this location until project completion (approximately August 2023).
Works completed include the demolition and removal of the existing bridge deck. Excavation for the piling platform is complete, with piling work commencing this week and continuing next week.
Project Update 2/05/2023
Works are continuing with good progress being made. The main activities have involved placement of reinforcement and formwork for pile cap and abutment construction. Planning to pour concrete next week.
Project Update 8/05/2023
Work to construct the new bridge is progressing according to the scheduled timeframe. The construction of abutment A and pile caps have now been completed. Next week will see preparations being undertaken to construct Abutment B.
Project Update 15/05/2023
Works are progressing well and in accordance with the project schedule, with the concreting of Abutment B in progress this week.
Project Update 22/05/2023
Abutment B is now constructed. Sub-soil work for abutment B will commence next week.
Project Update 30/05/2023
Works to construct the replacement bridge are progressing according to the scheduled timeframe. The construction of the deck is complete, and the funding signage has been installed. Preparations to construct the approaches will be undertaken next week, weather permitting.
Project Update 5/06/2023
Works to construct the approaches slab is currently in progress. Preparations to install the guard rails will be undertaken next week, weather permitting.
Project Update 19/06/2023
Last week the concrete slab was poured to connect the bridge with the existing road pavement, and this week guardrail installation was completed. Road works will commence next week.
Project Update 17/07/2023
Progress on Rosebrook Bridge is tracking well. Road works have commenced on road approaches.
Project Update 27/07/2023
This project is almost complete, with construction of the road approaches nearing finalisation. The final asphalt seal was undertaken last week, and the remaining works are the installation of guardrail, line marking and restoration of the site. Unfortunately the road can-not be opened to traffic until the guardrail is installed, due to safety reasons, but those works have been programmed for next week (weather permitting).
Project Update 14/08/2023
This project is almost complete with construction of the road approaches nearing finalisation. Installation of the guardrail commenced this week and we anticipate works to be completed by Tuesday 15 August 2023. The remaining works are to complete the guardrail and final restoration of the site.

Final construction of the road approaches is done, marking the completion of the Rosebrook Bridge Replacement project. Wybong Road is now open to the public.
