About the Project

Through the NSW Government’s Everyone Can Play program, Simpson Park is getting an upgrade! Beginning in November, Council’s contractor will upgrade equipment and facilities at Market Street’s Simpson Park, including inclusive equipment such as inground trampoline, a titan swing and carousel, as well as some some sensory items and paths.

The Everyone Can Play program supports councils in building new or upgrading existing play spaces to improve inclusivity and is designed to provide access to quality, walkable, green and open spaces for people of all ages and abilities.

The three principles of the best practice resource are:

  • Can I Get There
  • Can I Play
  • Can I Stay

Temporary fencing during the project will be as per the image below. There will be minimal impact on operations at the QEII Building, and the toilets and BBQ area will not be impacted.
