The Waste Operations team have engaged a consultant to perform a domestic kerbside bin by bin waste audit during June 2026. The audit will include all 3 bins (red, yellow and green). More information can be found here:

Stop-Motion Animation Workshop – Years 2–4

Bring ordinary objects to life and discover the magic of stop-motion animation in this fun, hands-on workshop for students in Years 2–4.

Join award-winning animators and filmmakers Jelena Sinik, Nicolette Axiak and Carl Stewart as they guide participants through the fundamentals of animation, character design and worldbuilding. Young creators will learn how to create their own animated stories and take home a stop-motion animation they’ve made themselves.

Location: Muswellbrook Library
Who can attend: Students in Years 2–4

Participants will learn:

  • How to use stop-motion software
  • Animation principles
  • Storytelling techniques
  • Fine motor skills
  • Creative play and problem-solving

Participants are encouraged to bring their own tablet or phone if possible and download the free Stop Motion Studio app before attending.

This inclusive activity is open to all students in Years 2–4. Families requiring additional support are encouraged to contact Muswellbrook Library prior to the event to discuss their needs. Children under 13 years of age must be supervised by a parent or carer at all times.
