About the Project
Project Update 1/06/2026
Muswellbrook Shire Council will soon commence construction works to upgrade a section of Thomas Mitchell Drive, Muswellbrook, extending from the intersection with Denman Road for a distance of 1.3km, through the appointed contractor KCE Pty Ltd.
During the period of construction, this section of the road will be under traffic control, and road users will experience changes to normal traffic conditions. With this in mind, please allow adequate time to travel safely to your destination.
Whilst the exact date for the commencement of work has not been confirmed, weather permitting the contractor is anticipated to establish at the site late July 2026.
