Youth Transition to Employment Program

Support to help young people step into the workforce

The Youth Transition to Employment Program, supported and funded by the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), helps young people aged 15–17 develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to step into the workforce.

Through a practical and hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to:

  • Write a resume and apply for jobs
  • Prepare for interviews and make a great impression
  • Communicate confidently and understand workplace expectations
  • Build confidence and resilience
  • Manage time effectively and be reliable

Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with local employers and explore real job opportunities in their community.

This program is all about real-world skills, helping young people feel capable, confident, and supported as they take their next step into work.

Who is it for?

This program is designed for young people aged 15–17 who:

  • Are unemployed or not engaged in full-time work
