The 2026 Easter Family Fun Day proved a resounding success, bringing together families and community members for a day filled with laughter, excitement, and festive cheer. 

Hundreds of attendees took part in the event, with a wide range of activities on offer for all ages. Highlights included free face painting, all day fairy floss, a lively Easter egg hunt, and a visit from the Easter Bunny, proving to be popular with children and adults alike.

The event featured a diverse range of entertainment and interactive experiences. Children enjoyed the kids’ dance party, while others took the opportunity to get up close with animals at the petting zoo. Classic games such as egg and spoon races and sack races added a traditional touch, alongside activities that encouraged creativity and learning.

Council extends its sincere thanks to major sponsor Bengalla Mining Company for their generous support in making the event possible. Appreciation is also extended to the local businesses who contributed on the day, and to Expressions School of Dance for hosting the Community BBQ.

In addition to the day’s festivities, Council also hosted an Easter Colouring-In Competition. Judging has now been completed, with winners awarded a special Easter basket. The standard of entries was exceptionally high, making the judging process a difficult task.
